How Acupressure Slippers Improved My Sleep

I have a pair of shoes embedded with sharp rocks. As painful as they may look, I can’t go a day without them. Every night before bed, I slip them on and proceed with my nighttime skincare routine or chores. This routine takes about twenty minutes, but it has dramatically improved my sleep.

A few years back, I started having trouble falling asleep. There were many reasons for this. Sometimes I had too much going through my mind, or I found myself tied to my phone late into the night.

Another major reason I couldn’t fall asleep was the aching in my legs. It wasn’t a sharp pain, but rather a numb, tingling sensation. The symptoms became more irritating when I was trying to fall asleep.

At first, I thought it might be Restless Leg Syndrome, but the symptoms didn’t quite match. I didn’t have an overwhelming urge to keep moving my legs, but the frustration of not being able to fall asleep did have me kicking the air. After consulting a few doctors, I figured out it was most likely due to poor blood circulation.

I tried many methods to get rid of the annoying leg pain. I spent 20 minutes everyday stretching before going to sleep, wore compression stockings, used a massage gun every night… But nothing worked as well as my acupressure massage slippers.

My friends told me I was such a grandma when I started wearing the silly looking shoes. But I don’t think I’ll ever find anything that helps me sleep as well as these slippers do.

I can only speak for my personal experience, but I sleep so much better after I walk around my home for about 15 to 20 minutes in these shoes. Not only do my feet feel relaxed, but my legs feel rejuvenated too. The best part is that walking in these slippers is far more convenient than using a massage gun or stretching on a yoga mat, making it easy to keep them as a part of my evening routine.

Some find them quite painful, so it’s important to find shoes that won’t damage your feet. I’m sure they’re not for everyone, so it would be wise to start with a pair that offers low-intensity acupressure and gradually move on to stronger ones if needed.

Incorporating acupressure slippers into my nighttime routine has made a world of a difference in how well I sleep and how relaxed my legs feel. If you’re struggling with leg or foot pain at night, or just trying to find a better sleep routine, I recommend trying out these massage shoes to see if they’re for you.
